Use Flexible fields in Notes

A powerful feature that enhances personalization in client communications.

Spend time on this page if these are your goals

  • You want your communication to be personalized without spending too much time.
  • You want to use the library and create notes where different data is needed across clients.
  • You have a set of requirements that you almost always need to be part of a note.

Check out the 4-minute video to see where Flexible fields work for you

The Concept of Flexible Fields

Flexible fields allow you to insert variable data points or words into your client communications, which vary from client to client. For example, you can write a sentence about a client’s investment risk level and use a flexible field to insert the specific risk category (like “moderate” or “aggressive”).

Creating and Using Flexible Fields

  1. Writing Notes with Variables: Begin by writing a note or sentence. Wherever a variable element is needed, use two curly brackets “{{some_data}}” to denote a flexible field.
  2. Filling in Data: You can then input specific data like “moderate risk tolerance” into the flexible field, which updates the note accordingly.

Storing Flexible Fields in the Library

  1. Saving for Reuse: Once created, these notes with flexible fields can be saved in Pulse360’s library, allowing for reuse across different client cases.
  2. Library Functionality: When using a note from the library, the system prompts you to fill in the flexible fields relevant to the current client, ensuring customized communication.

Example of Usage

Your net worth is ${{amount}}.

Ensuring Accuracy Before Sending

Rest easy. Pulse360 includes a safeguard to ensure that unfilled flexible fields are addressed before finalizing a document, preventing accidental sending of incomplete or incorrect information to clients.
